As Inconstant as the North Star

There are some reasons that the north star isn't  reliable.One of the reasons is back in the day the north star help travelers go north to places.During the present day the north star is the brightest star. But it doesn't help us when we travel now a days because we have GPS's that get us places.But the north star can help when your lost in the woods because it will get you to anywhere even a river.So it can still help us. The way the magnitude scale works is it ranges the stars brightest to dimmest.Back in the day the magnitude scaled work by help dividing the stars into magnitudes.The brightest is magnitude 1 and the dimmest is magnitude 6.Magnitude 1 stars are 100 times brighter than magnitude 6 stars.
